VNN1_Target_3

VNN1 (BBa_K4612102) is a single-stranded DNA sequence with 30 nucleotides and is an intercepted portion of the gene VNN1 sequence guaranteed to be specific in humans. It was screened as a target related to bacterial infection by machine learning and assigned a weight of "+5". It has been shown that VNN1 can be used as a biomarker for sepsis [1], which is usually caused by bacterial infection. So the expression of VNN1 has a role in determining whether it is a bacterial infection or not, and can be given weight. Figure 1 demonstrates the specific function of this element: it is bound to the probe as a target, and then the polymerase undergoes a polymerase-mediated strand displacement reaction using it as a primer. The weighted strand is then subjected to a subsequent toe-mediated strand displacement reaction to produce a fluorescent report.
